Dialogue Facilitation

Maybe you, too, have experienced a version of this: In everyday life, we put ourselves under pressure. We want to implement projects, reach goals, meet deadlines. Often, we rely on strong teamwork and mutual trust to make it all work.

That’s why it’s all the more important to create spaces in our daily routines where we take time to truly listen to one another:  What’s on people’s minds individually? And what’s moving the team as a whole?

The aims of these conversations might include:

  • Strengthening trust or connection within the group
  • Understanding why certain jointly made decisions just don’t get put into action
  • Who and what should be part of the process?
  • Developing a shared picture of a current challenge, so that everyone can pull in the same direction
  • Understanding and integrating resistance
  • Giving space to a conflict and finding a constructive way to handle or transform it together
  • Learning from one another

When facilitating such dialogues, I aim to create space for the full range of personalities and perspectives present. Through honest exchange, the group gains the opportunity to better understand itself—and to get to the heart of the challenges, aspirations, or tensions it faces.

From this shared understanding, new and often surprising ideas and solutions can emerge. The more each person dares to contribute and be seen, the more strength and beauty can unfold in the dialogue.

“It has been amazing to observe and learn the way “you flow” in the dialogue. Being inclusive, open but “Serene” like a stream. I offer you honest expression and a capacity for partnership. Let us collaborate more.”

“Even before I started working with Clara, I was struck by her sensitivity to what unfolds in a group — and by her willingness, even courage, to bring it to light in conversation with those involved. Her deep understanding of people and process, and her rare ability to hold space for both the free flow of ideas and a clear sense of structure, make her one of the first people I would turn to when a group needs facilitation, mediation, or guidance through challenges.”
